Indeed, prophecy possesses similarities to preaching and teaching. Sometimes we hear of “prophetic preaching” of social issues which uses the model of the Old Testament prophet as champion of God’s truth. Moral leaders of our time such as Martin Luther King, Jr. and Mahatma Ghandi have been termed “prophets”. But moral sensitivity and moral leadership do not satisfactorily describe the action of the Holy Spirit in prophecy.

Temitope Balogun Joshua, or TB Joshua, as he’s known, is one of the biggest exports of Nigerian charismatic Christianity. His preaching, teaching and Christianity has never tone down in faith to avoid persecution! TB Joshua’s message, miracles and prophecies has widespread debate, leaving many people confused on whether the prophet is fake or a true Prophet. The fate of T B Joshua is a subject of divine x-ray for situations as the political, economic, and social meltdown alarm in nations across the universe.

The founder and General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, Prophet T.B Joshua, has message and prophecies that have seen the light of the day like the controversial President of the United States of America general election. The warning was very clear about Donald Trump return to white house, recalling that he had prophesied what is happening currently happening in the US during his prophecy for 2020 and that a new president is very possible.

There is every indication that the prophesy of Nigerian cleric, TB Joshua, has come to pass, following also the breaking news that United States President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, testing positive to coronavirus under the prophetic tag of 2020 “ Year of Humility” Joshua said: “This year, the Lord will humble us with our challenges.”

The catastrophic effects of the COVID – 19 pandemic, all over the world, have lent credence to an aspect of Prophet TB Joshua’s prophecies for the year 2020. The man of God had earlier in the year released a list of prophecies, in which he had warned that the year 2020 would be a year of humility. Indeed the world was humbled.

Today, like other popular Nigerian preachers or “men of God”, TB Joshua is wealthy, influential and highly revered for the office he holds.

People come from around the world to the SCOAN headquarters in the Ikotun district in Lagos to seek healing and to witness prophecies.

One of the prophetic prophecies that attracted millions of attentions from around the globe was the protest in Nigeria involving the youth. As the protests over police brutality engulfing the nation continues, a video aired seven years ago where Prophet TB Joshua prophesied about a revolution instigated by Nigerian youths surfaced.

The message was titled ‘Carry Your Youths Along’ which has been linked to the current EndSars protest all over the country.

Much of modern evangelicalism holds that the gift of prophecy has passed away completely. But many modify this position by equating present-day prophecy with preaching or teaching. Are they the same? Is prophecy teaching?

Today, like other popular Nigerian preachers or “men of God”, TB Joshua is wealthy, influential and highly revered for the office he holds.

The testimonies include stories about financial prosperity, inexplicable recoveries from illness and even people being awakened from the dead.

Prophet Joshua is also known for his charity work – and Nigeria’s former president, the late Umaru Yar’Adua, awarded him the Order of the Federal Republic, one of the cou ntry’s highest honours.

TB Joshua, born in 1963, is one of the most successful of the independent preachers. His place of worship, The Synagogue Church of All Nation, attracts thousands of worshippers each Sunday. His Emmanuel TV station, based in Lagos, may be Nigeria’s largest in terms of viewers.

TB Joshua remains one of the most popular clerics in Africa, rated 13th most famous prophet worldwide, with over two million fans on Facebook and almost 450,000 YouTube subscribers.
