Following extensive consultations with political associates, supporters, community leaders, and key stakeholders across Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency, Hon. Dayo Saka Fafunmi has officially announced the withdrawal of his aspiration for the House of Representatives seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

I wish to express my profound appreciation to the teeming supporters, party faithful, youth groups, women leaders, and stakeholders who stood firmly with me and believed in my vision for purposeful, people-oriented, and effective representation.

The overwhelming support, encouragement, and confidence reposed in my person and leadership remain deeply humbling and will never be taken for granted. My political ideology which led to the movement was built on genuine aspirations for progress, development, inclusion, and better opportunities for the people of Ifako-Ijaiye and Ojokoro.

However,owing to prevailing political developments and after careful consideration of broader interests, it became necessary to step aside in the interest of unity, peace, and the collective progress of the constituency.

I urge my supporters and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to remain steadfast, united, and committed to the ideals and progressive values of the party. Our pursuit of sustainable development, quality representation, and the advancement of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government and Ojokoro LCDA must remain a shared responsibility beyond individual ambitions.

I also want to reaffirm my unwavering commitment to the growth, peace, and prosperity of the constituency and assure residents that my dedication to public service and community development remains unchanged.
