A NIGHT OF HEAVENLY HARMONY: Celebrating Dr. Ajoke Ogunsan at 45 During the Symphony of Praise and Worship
By: Sesan Rufus Awobiye
December 7th will be remembered as a night when heaven kissed earth, a night when melodies rose like incense and worship became a unifying language. The Symphony of Praise and Worship, convened by the remarkable Dr. (Mrs.) Ajoke Ogunsan, gathered an extraordinary lineup of ministers including Bata Girl, Limoblaze, Pelumi Deborah, AEO, Beejay Sax, Eno Michael, Emma OMG, Lilian Nneji, and Hope Activate.

But beyond the lights, music, and artistic brilliance, the evening marked a profound celebration: the 45th birthday of a woman described by many as a motivator, a songstress, a philanthropist of uncommon grace, and a transformational woman of impact.
“My Name Is Dr. Ajoke…” — The Convener Speaks
When asked to introduce herself, she spoke with humility and warmth:
“My name is Dr. Mrs. Ajoke Ogunsan, also known as Dr. Ajoke. I’m the Convener of Symphony of Praise and Worship. Thank you very much.”
Reflecting on the night and her heart of gratitude, she expressed deep appreciation to God for the success of the event:
“I want to thank God Almighty for making this day possible. I want to thank all the guests who came today and stood by me throughout the program. I thank God, the maker of heaven and earth the giver of life for the opportunity to host this symphony of praise with the people of God. I am just so grateful.”
Honoring Dignitaries and Supporters
The event attracted an impressive array of dignitaries, including the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his wife Dr. (Mrs.) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, alongside senior officials such as AIG Adegoke Fayoade, the Adebutu family and many other VIP guests.
Dr. Ajoke spoke warmly about their influence and support:
“I want to thank His Excellency Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Dr. Mrs. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu. They have been a strong pillar. I remember when I had my concert in the UK, he called just to check on me. They have stood by me since the Osubare they’ve been solid supporters. I also want to thank the Adebutu family, AIG Adegoke Fayoade, and all our special guests. God bless you all.”
A Message of Hope for Nigeria
In a season where many question whether constant prayers and praises still matter, Dr. Ajoke delivered a reassuring message to Nigerians:
“They should rejoice in the Lord. This is a time of joy, a time to be glad. Whatever the situation is, we must still give thanks. The Bible says give thanks at all times good or bad. Lagos is full of joy, and I know God answers prayers. I believe heaven came down tonight. From today, the 7th of December, testimonies will begin to flow. Nigeria is great already, Nigeria is going places.”
Her Prayer for the Nation
With the authority of faith, she declared:
“Nigeria is blessed. You shall reap the fruits of your labour; you will not labour in vain. Nigeria, you are great from the North, South, East and West. You will cross all borders in the mighty name of Jesus.”
What’s Next for Her Music Ministry?
With a smile, she simply said:
“After this concert… let’s leave that one. More are still coming by the grace of God.”
A Witness Speaks: Dr. Abiola Olufunke Olorunde Shares Her Reflections
Among the attendees was Dr. Abiola Olufunke Olorunde, who described herself passionately:
“My name is Dr. Abiola Olufunke Olorunde. I’m a child of God that’s the most important thing.”
When asked how we could be certain, she responded firmly:
“I’m a child of God because I am washed with the precious blood.”
She reflected on the significance of the celebration:
“I thank God for the life of Dr. Ajoke Ogunsan. God has kept her for 45 years. What I loved most about the concert was that it was refreshing. The variety of music reached everyone those who love classical sounds, the modern crowd, and the youths. It wasn’t just songs for singing’s sake; you could feel the power of the Almighty.”
Her Message to Christians in This Season
Dr. Abiola placed the current challenges in the context of Scripture:
“The Bible says the heart of man is desperately wicked. That’s why we need the circumcision of the heart. We are in the last days these things must come to pass. There will be wars, rumors of wars, famine, pestilence, earthquakes. These are biblical. But the children of God must stand firm firm in the Word and in prayer.”
And with calm certainty, she concluded:
“The most important thing is that I am a child of God.”
A Night Marked by Worship, Unity, and Prophetic Hope
The Symphony of Praise and Worship was more than a concert—it was a spiritual encounter, a celebration of purpose, and a prophetic declaration over Nigeria. It honored a woman whose life continues to inspire many, and it reminded the nation that in every season, praise remains a weapon and thanksgiving a doorway to divine intervention.
December 7th will linger in the hearts of many as a night where heaven opened and Nigeria rejoiced.
