The Commissioner of Police *CP Echeng Echeng* today 28/2/2022 worried about the cult related activities in the state has charge parents/guardians to always look out for their wards/children. This shall enable parents to properly direct, guide and inform them to stay away from bad groups or gang. He therefore notes that the family, as the basic building block of the society, hence there is need to inculcate in them basic norms and values that will help them shy away from cult and bad group.

 

The *CP* made this call today 28/2/2022 as he pays a visit to the Bishop Maduka Okeke, Archbishop of Onitsha Catholic Diocese. He further reveals that on alleged cult shootings that took place in a burial at Ebenebe on Saturday 26/2/2022, the Command is on top of the situation and have some suspects already in custody that are helping the police with information.

 

The Archbishop, in his response while receiving the CP and his entourage, prayed for the Police Command, the State and assure continuous collaboration with all the security agents in enhancing public safety and peace.

The *Command* also wishes to encourage members of the public especially the people from Ebenebe to avail police with information that will aid the ongoing investigation and assures confidentiality on any information provided in this regard.
