*GHADAFI : A GLORIOUS EXIT FROM THE CIVIL SERVICE.*

Mr. Ayodeji Abiodun Ajiboye (known as Ghadafi) was born on the 26th of December, 1962 to late Chief Honourable Samuel Biola Ajiboye and late Mrs. Cecilia Olorunfemi Ajiboye at Ilupeju-Ekiti in the then Oye-Local Government, now Ifeloju LCDA, Ilupeju-Ekiti.

He began his elementary education at the Wesley College Practicing School, Elekuro Ibadan in 1967 and proceeded to the C.A.C Grammar School, Aperin Oniyere Ibadan in 1972. From there, he went to the Bishop Phillips High School, Iwo-Road at Ibadan (1974) before concluding his Secondary education career at the Methodist High School in Owo in 1977 (Reason, omo teacher).

He had a stint as an auxiliary Teacher at the L.A West Primary School in Ikole-Ekiti in 1978 before proceeding to the College of Education Ikere-Ekiti between 1979 and 1982 where he bagged the National Certificate in Education, there, he studied English/History and had his NYSC programme at the NKST Hospital in Benue State between 1982 and 1983.

He proceeded to the University of Ife in Ile-Ife between 1984 and 1987 where he bagged a Degree in English (Ed) and later went back to the same University now christened Obafemi Awolowo University where he also bagged a Master of Science Degree in International Relations in 1988.

Ayodeji Abiodun Ajiboye began his career in the then old Ondo State on December 18th 1987 as an Education Officer GL.08. In 1990. He was appointed as an Administrative Officer from where he rose through the ranks to his present position of Permanent Secretary in Ekiti State.

During his successful working career, he had a 2-year stint at the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he served the Government of Nigeria under the Technical Aid Corp Programme (TAC) in Equitorial Guinea between 1994 and 1996.

Not satisfied with his educational exploits and still desirous for more academic laurels, he proceeded to the University of Ado-Ekiti (now Ekiti State University) between 2001 and 2004 where he also bagged a degree in Law (BL) and subsequently went to Nigeria Law School, Abuja between 2004 and 2005 for his L.L.B. and to be called to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

In December 2014, he was appointed as a Permanent Secretary in the Civil Service of Ekiti State by the erstwhile Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose. Before being appointed a Permanent Secretary, he was a former Director of Budget for the State, the Director, Finance and Administration (Lands), Director of Personnel in the Civil Service Commission, Director, Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Local Government, General Administration Department of the Governor’s Office and the Teaching Service Commission.

In all this, he is sincerely grateful to the most High, the most Benevolent and the merciful God Almighty for making him start this journey 35 years ago and making him to end well and most meritoriously

Barrister Ayodeji Abiodun Ajiboye is married to Mrs. Morenike Ibiwumi Ajiboye and the union is blessed with wonderful children who are; Doctor Ayodeji Abiodun Ajiboye (Jnr), Barr. Ayomide Ajiboye (Birmingham UK) and Ayomiposi Ajiboye.
