Heart Breaking news

Mrs. Ibukun Otesile, beloved daughter of Reverend Dr. Lekan Babatunde, a respected Christian leader in Nigeria, was kidnapped on Thursday night, December 4, 2025, right in front of her home in the General Gas, Akobo neighborhood of Ibadan, Oyo State.

In a voice filled with fear and urgency, Dr. Olamide Olanrewaju, Personal Assistant and Media Aide to the outgoing Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Oyo State, shared that the incident unfolded around 8:00 p.m. as Mrs. Otesile – a devoted mother of two was stepping through her doorway, only to be seized by unseen hands.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) pleads with the Nigerian Army Headquarters and the Nigeria Police Force to mobilize every resource to secure her immediate release.
The family, along with CAN and all well-meaning Nigerians, earnestly requests that information about her whereabouts be shared far and wide and relayed to the appropriate security authorities.

The Oyo State Police Command in Eleyele has been alerted and is actively involved, but as of this report, there are no further details about the attackers or any demands. Security agencies have not released an official statement.

Our hearts are with Mrs. Otesile’s family in this desperate moment. We hold onto hope and ask the community to stand together, to share every bit of information, and to pray for her safe return.
