On Sunday, December 7, 2025, the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Ikotun, Nigeria, became a radiant beacon of faith, worship, and thanksgiving. The air was thick with praise as worshippers from across Nigeria and the globe gathered for the church’s highly anticipated 2025 Annual Thanksgiving Service.

The atmosphere was electric, filled with vibrant songs of worship, fervent prayers, and powerful prophetic declarations for the year ahead.

The roads leading to the SCOAN headquarters were lined with exotic cars, while attendees decked out in colorful and elegant outfits flooded the premises to offer their heartfelt gratitude to God for His faithfulness throughout the year. The service was more than just a routine gathering; it was a moment of divine celebration, a time for reflection and anticipation of God’s continued blessings.

The day’s proceedings were punctuated with soul-stirring testimonies, targeted prayers of thanksgiving and inspirational sermons that built the faith of the congregation and set the tone for the new year. Prophetic words were delivered with authority, empowering attendees to face the future with renewed hope and confidence.

A Transformative Sanctuary

Foreign congregants described SCOAN as nothing short of a transformative sanctuary. For them, it wasn’t just a place of worship, it was a house of miracles where lives are changed through powerful spiritual encounters. Whether they came for healing, salvation, or a deeper connection with God, attendees shared how SCOAN’s distinctive ministry had left an indelible mark on their lives.

Among the highlights of the service was the leadership of Pastor Evelyn Joshua, wife of the late Prophet T.B. Joshua and current head of SCOAN. Pastor Evelyn led the congregation in an intense session of praise and worship, expressing profound gratitude to God for His continued guidance and protection over the ministry.

“We are grateful for the grace, mercy, and protection that God has extended to us throughout this year,” she said. “Despite the global uncertainties and challenges, we stand today as a testimony to God’s faithfulness.”

Gratitude Amidst Challenges

Despite the turbulence of the past year marked by economic struggles, political upheaval, and natural disasters SCOAN’s message remained one of hope and thanksgiving. Pastor Evelyn Joshua took time to pray for peace, wisdom, and mercy to descend upon Nigeria, particularly in light of the national challenges that have tested the country’s resilience.

“Our prayer today is for peace to reign, wisdom to guide our leaders, and mercy to prevail over every situation,” she added. “We trust that God’s hand will continue to be upon this nation, and His grace will sustain us through these trying times.”

Voices of Praise and Prophetic Insight

Dr. Patrick Kpashagsi, a Ugandan worshipper, took the stage to offer a passionate reflection on the importance of thanksgiving in SCOAN’s spiritual DNA. He commended Pastor Evelyn Joshua for her steadfastness in maintaining the ministry’s core values, particularly the mission established by Prophet T.B. Joshua.

“Thanksgiving is not just an event for us it’s who we are,” Dr. Kpashagsi remarked. “SCOAN was founded under the direction of God through Prophet T.B. Joshua, and Pastor Evelyn has carried that mantle with great grace. We are here today to celebrate God’s unending goodness, to thank Him for the gift of Jesus Christ, and to surrender ourselves to His will.”

The service also featured a stirring message from Stephen Nbasi, a guest preacher from Tanzania, who reminded the congregation that true thanksgiving is inextricably linked to obedience and a deeper relationship with God. He encouraged worshippers to pursue a life of holiness and total submission to Christ, emphasizing that gratitude is a reflection of the heart’s alignment with God’s will.

“Gratitude is not just a feeling it’s a lifestyle,” he said. “True thanksgiving is expressed through our faith, our obedience, and our pursuit of God’s righteousness.”

A Glimpse into the Future

As the service drew to a close, attendees left the SCOAN sanctuary with hearts full of gratitude and anticipation for what the future holds. The prophecies declared throughout the day reinforced the belief that God’s plans for His people are good, and that His purposes will prevail in 2026 and beyond.

The 2025 Annual Thanksgiving Service at SCOAN was not just a moment to reflect on the past year, but a powerful reminder that, no matter the challenges, God’s faithfulness remains unwavering. With prophetic words to guide them and hearts full of thanksgiving, the SCOAN community stands poised to embrace the year ahead with hope and confidence.
