…As Tincan Terminal former Manager draged T.I.C.T. to Court.
A human rights organization, the Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ) has concluded plan to expose the anti-labour policies of Chinese companies in Nigeria and as well the maltreatment of Nigerians who were working in their various companies in the land.
CHRSJ, which part of its objectives, was to seek redress for Nigerians whose rights violated at home and abroad, alleging that most of the Nigeria citizens employed by the Chinese companies were always treated like a *pig and monkey* in their various workplace by the said companies in their fatherland.

The rights group which strongly condemned the anti-Nigeria labour policy of these companies, explained that many Nigerians working in the companies like *Tin-Can Island Container Terminal Limited (TICT)*, were employed as casual workers for *many years*.
It disclosed that casual employment is anti-labour policy in Nigeria and present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari frown at such policy, noting that the Chinese employers could not allow such an anti- workers policy in their country in Republic of Chinna.

CHRSJ promised to address a *World Press Conference* in a couple of days where it would had an opportunity to expose the rights abuses and anti- labour policies of these Chinese companies with *evidential proof* to the whole world.

According to the group, it alleged one *Mr.Kapur Pawan* with phone number:- *+2348063996876*, a Commercial Manager of the company (TICT) as the *arrow head* of the *”ill treatment”* of the Nigerians working in their companies, raising the dust over unjust and illegal sacked of one of their Managers, *Mr. Amos Ajani Fasanya:-(+234 8033360270 / +234 8091134249)*, who were Nigeria citizen for cautioning *Kapur Pawan* against the maltreatment of Nigerians working in the company.
Mr. Fasanya had dragged the Chinese company before the *Lagos judicial division of National Industrial Court of Nigeria with suit N0:-(NICN/LA/444/2021)* to seek redress against their unholy action of violating his fundamental rights in his fatherland by *Mr. Pawan Kapur* and his Company, *Tin-Can Island Container Terminal Limited (TICT )*.
It would be recalled that CHRSJ had earlier wrote the authorities in Nigeria including *Directorate of State Security Service (DSS)* in the Petition dated on *Monday 8th of October, 2018* which Directorate promised to begin the investigation and probe into the activities of some foreign nationals through the *Investigative & Intelligent Department of State service* by the one Officer *Abubakar Muhammad Dairu* with Phone Number:- *(+2348096752702)* and another Officers of Phone Numbers:- *+2348039704936* including *+2348031852411* and mentioned the names of their boss, including: *Mr. Peter Onoche, Yussuf Magaji Bichi and Peter Afunaya* that wanted the investigation to be done on the subject matter.
The that petition which signed by CHRSJ’s Executive Chairman, Comrade Adeniyi Alimi Sulaiman, who alleged series of human rights abuses and fragrant disobedience to extant laws of the country by the management of two companies at the port, accusing the owners of two firms, *Tin-Can Island Container Terminal Limited (TICT) and APM Terminals* of unbridled human right abuses in their operations.
The group described the location of the two firms to be at *Terminal ‘B’ Tin Can, Port Complex, 1/3 Point Road, Apapa*; and *Wharf Road, Apapa*, also in Lagos with a call on President Muhammadu Buhari to compel investigations into how the monthly N3billion subvention is utilized by the affected companies, saying CHRSJ has evidence of gross mismanagement of the said funds.
The group also sent copies of the petition to the *Inspector-General of Police, Ministers in charge of the ministries of Labour, Interior as well as the Committees of the lower legislative chambers on Labour and Employment, Interior and Maritime*.
Others copied by the group in the petition were the *Chairmen of the Committees on Public Petitions, Privilege and Ethics at both chambers of the National Assembly as well as Nigeria Embassies of France, China and India* for notification and prompt action on the matter.
According to the group, officials of the two companies who are liable for sanction are the following, the *Operations Manager of TICT, Mr. Yann Magarian (+2348066273552), Commercial Manager of the same company, Mr. Kapur Pawan (+2348063996876)* and another official by name, *Mr. Etienne Rocher (+2348030630399)*, the then *Human Resources Manager(HRM), Mrs. Juliet Ikemefuna (+2348023141634 & 08141381169)* as well as a leader of the *Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria, Comrade Adeyanju (+2348067667760 & +2348022906505)*.

“We have received series of calls from one unidentified officer of the DSS who claimed to be a staff of the *Investigative and Intelligence Department (+2348031852411)*. He (the DSS officer) expressed the willingness of personnel to relocate to Lagos with a view to unravel the veracity of our claims.” Sulaiman stated.

Sulaiman has also alleged victimisation of workers in the two affected firms with a call on the management of the two companies to desist, saying the continued sack of innocent workers would not in anyway help the companies.
”We have discovered that a worker, *Mr. Akemo Daniels:-(+2348181066114 / +2347017394566)* with *staff identification number of 490631* who until he was sacked on *10th of December 2018* was a personnel attached to the *OPS/Plant Department in TICT, Apapa Lagos* was *illegally sacked* based on his advocacy for good corporate governance on the company.
He is yet another victim in the elaborate fraudulent schemes being carried out by the company.” He said.
According to CHRSJ, the largest shareholder in one of the firms, TICT, *Mr. Vincent Bollore* was in *April 2018 arrested* for series of infractions of the law that had been committed by his company in some *West African countries*.
He stated that *Bolloré, who is the head of the Bolloré Group*, was *arrested as part of an ongoing investigation* into how his company *obtained contracts to operate the Lome and Conakry ports in Togo and Guinea respectively*.
