LSSTF Hands Over Protective Gear to RRS
The Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, on Wednesday handed over 60 bulletproof vests, 60 ballistic helmets and a refurbished power bike to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security operations and improve personnel safety across Lagos State.
The protective gear was presented to the Commander of the Rapid Response Squad, Shola Jejeloye, at the squad’s headquarters in Alausa, Ikeja.
Speaking during the presentation, Ogunsan said the donation underscores the LSSTF’s commitment to supporting security agencies in Lagos State with critical operational and logistics needs aimed at enhancing public safety and crime-fighting efficiency.
Receiving the items, Jejeloye expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund for the timely intervention and sustained support to the Rapid Response Squad.
He noted that the protective equipment would significantly boost officers’ confidence, safety, and operational effectiveness while responding to emergencies and tackling criminal activities across the state.
“We are deeply grateful to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund for this generous support and for consistently standing with security agencies in Lagos State. These ballistic helmets and bulletproof vests will go a long way in enhancing the safety and operational readiness of our officers in the discharge of their duties,” Jejeloye said.
