The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Lagos, Simeon U. Akpanudom, psc fdc mspsp MNIM, attended a workshop organized by the Nigerian Army Women Command (NAWC) themed “Repositioning the NAWC for Enhanced Operational Efficiency in Curbing Contemporary Security Threats.”

The workshop, held at the Nigerian Army School of Finance and Administration (NASFA) Auditorium, Apapa, brought together key security stakeholders and senior military officers to deliberate on strategies aimed at strengthening operational capacity in addressing emerging and evolving security challenges.

During the event, the Commander of the Nigerian Army Women Command, Brigadier General MS Adamu, presented a commemorative plaque to the AIG in recognition of the Nigeria Police Force’s continued collaboration and support in promoting national security and inter-agency cooperation.

In his remarks, the AIG commended the initiative of the Nigerian Army Women Command in organizing the workshop, noting that strengthening institutional capacity and fostering synergy among security agencies remain critical to effectively tackling contemporary security threats across the country.

The event further underscored the importance of sustained collaboration between the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police Force in line with the mission of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu psc+ NPM, to safeguard lives and property while maintaining peace and stability across the nation.

The Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex, Lagos, under AIG Simeon U. Akpanudom, remains commitment to continued partnership with other security agencies, and stakeholders to enhance national security and economic development.
