ACP Oluwatoyin Kazeem Receives FIDA Excellence Award for Justice Delivery in Lagos
The International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Lagos State Chapter, has honoured Assistant Commissioner of Police, Oluwatoyin Kazeem, with the prestigious Award of Professionalism and Excellence in recognition of her outstanding contributions to justice delivery and the protection of vulnerable groups in society.
The award was presented to ACP Kazeem by executive members of FIDA at her office in GRA Ikeja, Lagos.
ACP Kazeem, who serves as the Officer-in-Charge of the Legal and Gender Section of the Lagos State Police Command, was recognised for her unwavering dedication to the service of humanity, particularly her relentless efforts in combating domestic violence and gender-based violence (GBV) across Lagos State.
Widely respected for her diligence and professionalism, she has played a pivotal role in coordinating strategic responses to GBV cases, strengthening institutional frameworks, and ensuring that perpetrators are thoroughly investigated and prosecuted in line with the law.
Her leadership has also driven impactful public sensitisation and awareness campaigns aimed at educating communities and empowering victims to speak up and seek justice.
FIDA commended her compassionate yet firm approach to law enforcement, noting that her work has significantly improved the handling of GBV cases while reinforcing public confidence in the Police.
The organisation further described ACP Kazeem as a shining example of professionalism and commitment, whose contributions continue to set a high standard in the fight against domestic and gender-based violence in Nigeria.
