Chairman of PDP’s electoral Committee for Edo 2020 governorship primaries and Bauchi state governor Sen. Bala Mohammed on Wednesday visited Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin to inspect the venue.
Governor Bala Mohammed was received by Edo State deputy governor, comrade Philip Shaibu.
The Deputy Governor said the party has put necessary machinery in place for a successful primaries where the party’s flagbearer for the election will emerged.
Governor Bala Mohammed on his part advised members of the PDP to close ranks in the interest of the party.

Oyo state Governor Seyi Makinde and his Zamfara state counterpart, Bello Mohammed Matawelle are also in Benin to conduct Edo PDP primaries.
Governor Godwin Obaseki who is seeking reelection and three other aspirants would participate in the primary election.
Our Correspondent that two aspirants; Engr Gideon Ikhine and Hon. Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama have stepped for the incumbent Edo state governor. Only Kenneth Imasuagbon (Rice man) would confront Obaseki at the indirect primaries with about 2000 delegates.
Accreditation of delegates will start by 10am and all participants including journalists are expected to use their face masks.
The exercise will be broadcast live on Channels Television, Africa Independent Television (AIT) and the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
