A joint task force of the Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service and
Federal Road Safety Corps will embark on road enforcement which is scheduled to commence on Monday, 3rd February, 2020.

The Executive Chairman, Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service, Mr
Olumuyiwa Ogunmilade has said that the enforcement will border on
comprehensive checks of Vehicle Particulars and Driver’s License. He
also added that the use of old number plates will no longer be tolerated as stated in the laws of the country.
Mr Ogunmilade stressed that the enforcement is not meant to victimize
anyone but to make sure that things are done appropriately. He
mentioned that the exercise had begun on 27th of January but it was
halted due to limited awareness.
The Executive Chairman stated that Ekiti State Internal Revenue
Service has since then done the needful by going on air to announce
the commencement of the exercise.
He said ”the publicity that has been done is aimed at creating
awareness in the State to make sure that every citizen in the State is
intimated on the road enforcement which will commence on Monday, 3rd
February”.
Mr Ogunmilade has since advised those that fall under any of these
categories to visit EKIRS to obtain the authentic Vehicle Particulars,
Driver’s License and new Number Plates.
