‘Give Tinubu Chance’,Prophet Ikuru replies Northern Elders
Prophet Godwin Ikuru,The Prophetic Hall of Fame the spiritual leader of the Jehovah Eye Salvation has condemned the recent statement of the Northern Elders Forum, regretting its support for President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 general elections.
The controversial prophet whose prediction about Tinubu coming to power came to pass, said the president has not done anything wrong. “Why would the elders in the north say they regret voting Mr. President. What exactly has the president done wrong, the vice president of the federal republic of Nigeria Kashim Shettima is from the north, is he not from the north. Muslim-Muslim ticket is it not to favour the north. So what is making them to brag saying we regret bringing him to office.”, he said.
Prophet Ikuru added that the president has not be discriminatory in his appointments, and all other executive decisions have been to favour all the tribes in the country.
“The appointments has not favoured one particular side more than one side. The decisions that have been coming, are to take the country forward, I believe the decisions have favoured every parts of the country. Me, myself, the prophetic hall of fame, I have looked at the jobs of Mr. President in detail, and I have seen that this man is working. He is working night and day, he has no even rest, and this government that everybody is complaining against has not even spent one year allow the president to breathe, allow Nigerians to calm and work peacefully with Mr. President”, he said.
The northern elders had noted in a recent conference, that the northern region regret voting President Tinubu into power in the 2023 general elections. The elders stressed that the mistake of voting for the president who was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the 2023 outing has taught the north a lesson.
Spokesperson of the Forum, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, said going forward, the region will now prioritize unity and consensus for the highest office in the land. “They have learned from their past misstep and will strive to select a candidate who can unite the country and govern in the best interests of all Nigerians. Moving forward, the North will be more cautious in selecting a candidate for the presidency. They will prioritize someone who is seen as more inclusive, less controversial and more aligned with the interest of all regions of the country.
Suleiman said the mistake of supporting Tinubu in 2023 has taught the elders the importance of unity and consensus in selecting a candidate for the highest office in the land.
The Forum recently came hard on the President when it lamented the growing insecurity across the country. The elders said the recent abduction of Kuriga school children in Kaduna indicated that the present government has failed to protect Nigerians just few months in office.

The government is moving well and every tribe in this nation are going to benefit from this government, allow Mr. President to breathe. “, the seer said.
