Gov Makinde Announces 27 New COVID-19 Cases In Ibadan fir
Oyo State has recorded 30 new cases of coronavirus. .
Of the 30 new cases , 27 are from a firm in Ibadan , iSON Xperiences.
Governor Seyi Makinde made this known in a series of tweets on Saturday.
He said , “Nine confirmed COVID – 19 patients have received their second negative test results and have been discharged . This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to fifty-eight .
“Also , the COVID -19 confirmation tests for thirty suspected cases came back positive . Twenty – seven cases are from iSON Xperiences and one each from Ibadan SW , Ibadan SE and Oluyole Local Govt Areas . So , the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State as of 5 .30 pm on Saturday is 233 . ”
Meanwhile , confirmed cases of coronavirus have increased to 7,526 in Nigeria , The
This is after 265 new COVID -19 cases were reported in the country on Saturday .
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on its website.
NCDC said , “On the 23 rd of May 2020, 265 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria.
“No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours .
Till date , 7 ,526 cases have been confirmed , 2 ,174 cases have been discharged and 221 deaths have been recorded in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
“The 265 new cases are reported from 13 states – Lagos ( 133 ) , Oyo( 34 ) , Edo( 28 ) , Ogun ( 23 ) , FCT ( 22 ) , Plateau ( 6) , Kaduna ( 5 ) , Borno ( 3) , Niger( 3 ) , Kwara( 2 ) , Bauchi( 2) , Anambra ( 2 ) , Enugu( 2 ) . ”
