*KANO STATE POLICE COMMAND HOSTS FOOTBALL MATCH AS PART OF NATIONAL POLICE DAY CELEBRATIONS*
The Kano State Police Command organized a football match between the Kano Police Team and Kano Facebook Connect Team, today, 5th April, 2025 at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano, as part of the ongoing National Police Day celebrations.
2. This event is designed to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and community engagement, in line with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM. The football match serves as a platform for fostering community policing and strengthening relationships between the Police and the public. The Kano Police Team emerged victorious, winning 2-0 against the Kano Facebook Connect Team.
3. The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, sfipma, mnim, mnips, masis, expressed his sincere appreciation to the participants for their dedication to promoting community engagement. He also commended the efforts of the Inspector-General of Police in enhancing community-police relations nationwide.
4. The Command will bring its National Police Day celebrations to a close with Public Enlightenment Programs scheduled for 6th April 2025.
