Lagos will tomorrow, Tuesday, November 18, 2025, host a landmark event for Africa’s real estate industry as the highly anticipated Property Brokers International Magazine is officially unveiled at the prestigious Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island.

The launch, themed “Real Estate Tokenization and Financing: The Future of Property Investment in Africa,” is expected to bring together an influential mix of developers, investors, policymakers, innovators, and academics. The event aims to drive fresh conversations around blockchain, digital property assets, innovative financing, and the transformation of Africa’s real estate landscape.

Delivering the keynote address will be Dr. Lanre Shonekan, Chairman of the Lashone Group (UK) and a globally recognized authority on real estate development and cross-border investment.

Dr. Shonekan is expected to underscore the strategic importance of real estate tokenization—the process of converting physical property assets into blockchain-based digital tokens.

According to him, tokenization represents a powerful tool for enhancing liquidity, democratizing property ownership, and attracting global capital into African markets.

“Africa’s property market must leapfrog into the future by leveraging blockchain technology to create inclusive, transparent, and scalable investment models,” Dr. Shonekan is expected to say.

The launch is being spearheaded by Dr. Matthew Ibadin, the visionary publisher of Property Brokers International Magazine and a long-time advocate for innovation in real estate.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Ibadin is expected to describe the magazine as a dynamic platform for education, thought leadership, and meaningful engagement across the real estate ecosystem.

“This magazine is not just a publication; it is a movement,” Dr. Ibadin will say.

“Our goal is to spotlight emerging trends, provide clarity on regulatory frameworks, and promote ethical brokerage and investment practices that align with global standards.”

Thought-Provoking Panels and High-Level Discussions

The launch will feature panel sessions and networking opportunities addressing critical subjects such as:

Legal and regulatory frameworks for tokenization in Nigeria and across Africa

Financing solutions for first-time buyers and property developers

Opportunities for cross-border real estate investment

Digital innovation and the rise of PropTech in Africa

Attendees will also tour an exclusive exhibition showcasing cutting-edge, tech-enabled real estate solutions—from blockchain transaction platforms to smart property management tools—offering a glimpse into the future of property investment on the continent.

With Africa’s urban population projected to double by 2050, the continent faces increasing demand for affordable housing, innovative financing models, and smart urban planning. Experts at the event are expected to agree that real estate tokenization may become a game-changing pathway toward inclusive wealth creation, increased global investment flow, and greater economic resilience.

As the inaugural edition of Property Brokers International Magazine makes its debut, it is poised to establish itself as an authoritative guide for navigating the digitized, decentralized, and rapidly evolving future of African real estate.
