LAGOS STATE OFFICE OF CIVIC ENGAGEMENT CELEBRATED YEAR 2021 WORLD CANCER DAY*
The Lagos State Office of Civic Engagement, under the leadership of the workaholic Special Adviser, *Hon. (Princess) Aderemi Adebowale* celebrated the year 2021 world cancer day with free breast and cervical cancer screening and Treatment for women.
The exercise which was in partnership with Optical Cancer Care Foundation known for the mission to encourage a greater focus on prevention, detection and treatment of Breast, Cervical and Postrate Cancer aimed at preventing millions of deaths due to ignorance of the importance of self-awareness.
Screening, Cryotherapy, Cervical Biopsies and Excision of breast lumps was carried out for hundreds of women.
The Special Adviser used the opportunity to encourage women to cultivate the habit of going for screening whenever they notice any sign of lumps in their breasts.
