A powerful atmosphere of unity, hope, and political awakening filled Agege as supporters from different communities and ethnic groups trooped out in large numbers to identify with frontline Lagos State House of Assembly aspirant, Hon. Olaide Oladeebo Okadigbo, during a solidarity gathering covered by Momentous Media.

The respected philanthropist and grassroots mobilizer, popularly known as Okadigbo Agege, used the occasion to reaffirm his commitment to transformational leadership, youth empowerment, and genuine grassroots representation for the people of Agege Constituency 02.

Speaking during the solidarity session, Hon. Okadigbo clarified that the gathering was not a political rally but a demonstration of the overwhelming support and acceptance he enjoys among the people.

“Today is not a rally. We only want to identify with our supporters and show the people of Agege that we have massive grassroots support. The people know who truly represents them,” he stated.

The event witnessed an impressive turnout of market men and women, youths, artisans, community leaders, and supporters from Yoruba, Igbo, and Northern communities — a development that visibly excited the aspirant.

According to him, the unity displayed by the people reflects a collective desire for credible leadership and a departure from years of failed representation.

“I am Yoruba to the core, but I have never believed in tribal politics. Seeing people from all ethnic groups coming together in support of this movement gladdens my heart. It shows that the people are ready for good governance and genuine leadership,” he said.

Widely admired for his humanitarian activities across Lagos communities, Hon. Okadigbo emphasized that philanthropy has remained the foundation of his public life long before his full involvement in politics.

He explained that his numerous empowerment initiatives, youth support programs, and assistance to less privileged residents have strengthened his connection with the grassroots.

“What gave me an edge is not politics alone, but my passion for humanity. I have empowered many people, created opportunities for youths, supported families, and stood with the less privileged. The people know my impact,” he remarked.

Speaking further on the forthcoming elections, the aspirant expressed strong confidence in victory, stressing that the people are determined to support a credible and competent candidate capable of delivering meaningful development.

Hon. Okadigbo also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for encouraging internal democracy and allowing aspirants to test their popularity among the people rather than relying on imposed political arrangements.

While acknowledging his relationship with influential political figures, he maintained that his greatest strength lies in his longstanding service to humanity and unwavering commitment to community development.

“Connection alone cannot give victory. What matters is what you have done for the people. The people know those who genuinely care about their welfare,” he emphasized.

In an emotional reflection on the condition of the constituency, the aspirant lamented the hardship faced by many youths, unemployment challenges, rising social problems, and years of poor leadership that have hindered growth in the community.

He stressed the urgent need for a new era of accountable governance capable of restoring hope to the younger generation.

“Many youths have lost direction because of failed leadership over the years. This is the time to change the narrative and give our people hope again,” he declared.

Hon. Okadigbo assured residents that if elected into the Lagos State House of Assembly, his administration would focus heavily on youth empowerment, employment creation, environmental development, social welfare, and people-oriented policies that would positively transform Agege.

“By the grace of God, if I emerge victorious, I will ensure that my tenure brings meaningful development and a legacy the people of Agege will never forget,” he promised.

Addressing the youths directly, the philanthropist urged them to remain focused and avoid being deceived by politicians who offer temporary inducements without genuine plans for development.

“The youths must stay focused and resist deception. This generation deserves a better future, and together we can build an Agege that works for everyone,” he concluded.

The solidarity gathering ended with loud cheers, chants of support, and renewed optimism among residents who described Hon. Oladeebo Okadigbo as “a man of the people,” “a tested philanthropist,” and “the face of a new Agege.”
