Momentous Media Presents MOPA 2026 Award Notification to New Horizons CEO, Tim Akano

Momentous Media has formally presented the notification letter for the 2026 Momentous Outstanding Personalities Award (MOPA 2026) to the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of New Horizons Nigeria, Tim Akano, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to entrepreneurship, digital development and youth empowerment.
The notification was presented during a courtesy visit by the Momentous Media team to Mr. Akano, ahead of the prestigious MOPA 2026 Conference and Dinner scheduled to hold on October 17, 2026, at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Conference and Exhibition Centre, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
According to the official notification, Mr. Akano has been nominated for the distinguished Pioneer of Africa Child Digital Legacy Award, in recognition of his pioneering efforts in advancing digital education, entrepreneurship and opportunities for young Africans.
The recognition also highlights his contribution to leading Africa’s digital revolution and promoting pathways to democracy and global opportunities through technology and innovation.
Beyond receiving the award, Mr. Akano has also been invited to serve as a speaker at the MOPA 2026 Conference, where he is expected to share insights on “Leading Africa’s Digital Revolution, Democracy and Global Opportunities.”
The nomination acknowledges his entrepreneurial journey, visionary leadership and commitment to developing human capacity through technology. As the CEO of New Horizons Nigeria, he has played a significant role in promoting digital skills and creating opportunities for young people to participate meaningfully in the digital economy.
His achievements, according to the organisers, reflect resilience, innovation, business excellence and a sustained commitment to empowering the next generation of African entrepreneurs and technology professionals.
MOPA 2026, organised by Momentous Magazine, is designed to celebrate distinguished individuals and institutions whose leadership, achievements and contributions have made significant impact across various sectors of society.
