OGUN NUJ COMMENDS OUTGOING PPRO, CSP OMOLOLA ODUTOLA, WELCOMES DSP OLUSEYI BABASEYI
The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council heartily commends CSP Omolola Odutola, anipr, for her outstanding service as the Police Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Police Command, while welcoming DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi on his assumption of duty as the new PPRO.
CSP Omolola Odutola served the Ogun State Police Command with exceptional professionalism, openness, and human friendliness, fostering a cordial and mutually respectful relationship between the police and the media.
Throughout her tenure, she demonstrated a deep understanding of strategic communication, prompt information dissemination, and respect for journalistic ethics, thereby strengthening public trust in the command.
The Ogun NUJ acknowledges her dedication, accessibility, and commitment to transparency, which greatly enhanced police–media relations and contributed to effective public engagement.
The Council wishes her continued success as she proceeds to the Lagos State Police Command for higher national assignments.
Following the recent nationwide transfer of Police Public Relations Officers of the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi was appointed by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, as the new Police Public Relations Officer for the Ogun State Police Command.
DSP Babaseyi is a Barrister-at-Law and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, with a strong academic and professional background in policing, investigations, administration, and public relations. He brings to the office a wealth of experience acquired from various operational, investigative, administrative, and media-related assignments within the Nigeria Police Force.
The Ogun NUJ expresses confidence that DSP Babaseyi’s expertise and professionalism will further consolidate the existing cordial relationship between the police and the media in Ogun State.
The Council assures him of its full cooperation in the discharge of his duties and looks forward to sustained engagement anchored on transparency and mutual respect.
