ROAD MAP FOR A PEACEFUL, PROSPEROUS AND TRANQUIL REIGN BY OBA (ELECT) ADEKUNLE ADEAYO ADEAGBO OORE OF OTUN EKITI (ELECT)
1. HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT
Human capital development in education and work force will be our priority as it plays a critical role in community development to assist the low-income individuals. To push heavily in the area of Human capital development by ensuring all Otun Sons and daughters in need of education from early childhood through post-secondary and workforce development get proper education, skills for personal development that can be competitive in this technological age. We shall promote and encourage the community development field to engage with the technical education sector, highlight the importance of working in partnership with education providers, and promote integration in terms of making education part of the discussion of our community development strategies.
2. CULTURAL HERITAGE AND ARCHIVE
To sustain, maintain and enhance our cultural heritage and place Otun Ekiti in the comity of Ekiti states. According to history, Oore Otun stool is one of the topmost and foremost traditional rulers in Yoruba Land. In 1903, when the then Ooni prepared the list of Yoruba Obas which was published, had the Ooni as number one, The Oluwu of Abeokuta as number two, Alafin of Oyo as number three, Oba of Benin as number four while Oore of Otun as the number five on the list. These facts are not just new; they have been there for a very long time. Because Oore was formally in Ile Ife, and was very close to Oduduwa during his reign. Making sure the leading role of Otun in Yoruba land since the days of our forefathers is catapulted to world prominence and enriching our historical links to Ile Ife, the source and cradle of the Yorubas. According to the late Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade, it was said that the Oore is the rightful person to announce the passage of any Ooni of Ife among other traditional functions. Opening and structuring the Oore throne in such a way that all past information about our heritage and history is documented from the archived and exposed, so our children and generation yet unborn can appreciate their true identity as noble sons and daughters of Yoruba land and can be proud of their identity and where they come from.
3. INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT
With Dr. John Kayode Fayemi as the Governor of Ekiti State and Hon. Bayo Aborisade as the Executive Chairman of Moba Local Government in the helms of affair, Infrastructural development in terms of Energy, Water Supply, Transportation, Social Infrastructure, Digital Infrastructure and many others will be looked into, to push Moba forward in order to stimulate economic growth and quality of life improvement and make sure major milestone activities are attracted from Federal Government, State Government, Local Government and International community for the development of Otun Ekiti and Moba land in general.
4. YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AND SPORTS ACTIVITIES
In line with the determination of the present administration of Dr. John Kayode Fayemi to improve the greatest resources of our dear state, to engage and empower youths, my reign will make sure Moba sons and daughters are highly placed in government, social network, businesses and international connections with foreign countries for exchange of expertise, skills and culture in ensuring there is self and constant development. They will also engage in sporting activities so as to be sound and proper in all areas of life.
5. AGRICULTURE AND EXPORT PROMOTION
Mechanized farming will be put in place to boost the agricultural produce in Moba land. To help our people that are in agriculture attain a high standard of mechanized farming. Loans, seminars and conferences to boost agricultural produce will be organized in order to increase the output of farm produce and to encourage exports. Through investment in agriculture, we will also advice them on how to get NEXIM (Nigerian export Banks) to enhance their businesses.
6. UPLIFTING THE STANDARD OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS IN OTUN AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF MOBA UNIVERSITY
To have a standard education system, relevant and critical stakeholders i.e the Government at all levels, private and corporate institutions and the general public will be involved. Emphases will be placed on Science and technology by equipping schools with relevant tools for intensive learning to make sure all our educational institutions are up to date and standardized. We also look to establishing Moba University that will of immense benefit to our children and generation yet unborn. This will also boost the economic development of Otun Ekiti, Moba Local Government and Ekiti State in General.
