A Birthday Tribute to Barrister Bada Emmanuel

Happy Birthday to Barrister Bada Emmanuel, Deputy Director at the Ministry of Justice, Lagos State. Today, we celebrate not only your life but your resilience, dedication, and impact.
From humble beginnings in Agbowa Ikosi and early challenges with polio, you’ve shown the world what true determination looks like. Your journey from studying Music Technology at The Polytechnic Ibadan to pursuing law at Ogun State University, and eventually working alongside former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), speaks volumes of your courage and commitment.
Guided by your late father, Evangelist Bada Alexander, and your devoted mother, you’ve continually broken barriers. As a two-time representative of the Attorney General on the Lagos State Board for Special People on Disability Affairs, your advocacy has brought meaningful change.
Your groundbreaking achievement as the first Nigerian admitted to study International and Comparative Disability Law at the National University of Ireland, Galway, remains a proud milestone. Through your work, words, and published book, you’ve challenged perceptions and given voice to many.
You’ve always declared: “We are not disabled, we are only impaired” a statement that continues to inspire and uplift.
As you mark another year, may you enjoy good health, continued strength, and greater impact. Thank you for being a beacon of hope and a symbol of possibility.
Happy Birthday, Sir.
