Ambassador Prince Sesan Rufus Awobiye Presents MOPA 2026 Award Notification Letter to IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu

The Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Momentous Magazine, Ambassador Prince Sesan Rufus Awobiye, yesterday formally presented the official Notification of Award letter to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, at the Force Headquarters, Louis Edet House, Abuja.
The presentation formally notified the Inspector-General of his selection as the recipient of the Distinguished Leadership in National Defence and Strategic Security Award at the forthcoming Momentous Outstanding Personalities Award (MOPA) 2026.
The award is in recognition of IGP Disu’s exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s internal security architecture, and his outstanding efforts in promoting professionalism, intelligence-led policing, institutional reforms, and enhanced public safety across the country.
During the presentation, Ambassador Prince Sesan Rufus Awobiye commended the Inspector-General for his exceptional leadership and dedication to national service, describing him as one of Nigeria’s foremost security leaders whose reforms and strategic initiatives continue to strengthen the operational effectiveness of the Nigeria Police Force.
“Your commitment to institutional reforms, intelligence-driven policing, crime prevention, and the protection of lives and property has continued to inspire confidence in the Nigeria Police Force. This recognition is a testament to your exceptional leadership and invaluable contributions to national security and nation-building,” Ambassador Awobiye stated.
He further noted that the Momentous Outstanding Personalities Award recognizes distinguished Nigerians and global leaders whose visionary leadership, professionalism, and commitment to service have made remarkable contributions to governance, security, healthcare, business, diplomacy, education, and sustainable national development.
IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu expressed appreciation to the management of Momentous Magazine for the recognition, describing the honour as a motivation to remain committed to strengthening the Nigeria Police Force and advancing its mandate of protecting lives, maintaining law and order, and ensuring the security of all Nigerians.
