GOVT NEED TO DECLARE DAYS OF FASTING AND PRAYERS TO GET RID OF CORONAVIRUS IN NIGERIA – Ogedengbe

The government of Nigeria has been urged to declare days of fasting and prayers in the nation to ask for the forgiveness of sins as a solution to get rid of Corona virus.
The Ex Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State government on Christian Religious matter,Rev. Sam Olufemi Ogedengbe made this known during his address at the 24 years Anniversary and annual Church convention Thanksgivings Ordination held on Saturday at the church premises at U Turn bus stop,Jibowu Abule egba Lagos,that the disease outbreak confronting the nation and the world today depicts that the nation is Sinned against God and the only way to get rid of it is believing in God’s power of Fasting and prayers in the country to be free of the Corona virus outbreak in Nigeria.
Rev Ogedengbe expressed that coronavirus is a spiritual epidemic that can be handled by the spiritual power of God with all humility to believe in God’s word in the Bible which says except my people humble themselves and confess their sins to God to deliver them.
He stated that Nigeria should not be as China who fail to believe in God’s power to deliver the nation in this present epidemic situation but should truly follow the Bible ways that the President of the United State of America,Donald Trump follow by calling their leaders in the country to combat the outbreak spiritually. Ogedengbe called therefore on religious bodies to ensure that they worship their God in the population of 50 by 50 in their various gathering to cooperate with the government to fight against the coronavirus just as it has been observed in the church anniversary of the day.
He expressed his joy however as he celebrate his birthday along side with the church anniversary in the same birth month of the All Progressive Congress leader,Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu that was congratulated on his birthday and pronounced him as a peculiar being who needs no prophesy to describe in better for he has recognised his God purpose for his life to lead the political circle so well. He made known his appreciation to God on behalf of Bola Ahmed Tinubu for being fearless when he fails in the given process because he never put it on his face for believes if he does not work today he would win tomorrow . he said.
The Guest Speaker,Bishop of Ikeja Diocese Methodist Church of Nigeria,Tunde Stephen Victor Adegbite spoke on the Theme of the day” My Presence will go with you and I will give you rest” described that no one has ever put his trust on the Almighty God and regretted that anyone who believes and wait on the Lord would not only have rest but also have eternal rest in God Emmanuel the Christ. He prayed that no evil would befall the celebrant of the Overcomes Pentecostal Prayer Ministry as he led also the way to organise the church service in 50 by 50 population to support the government to tackle the coronavirus outbreak in the nation. He said so many people would have today misquoted the government which said they should not exceed 50 population in services, has stopped them from worshipping their God.
Sister Yetunde Oguntayo was presented to be the only one who performed well to be graduated out of 6 people in the Bible school.
Yetunde Oguntayo promised with her expression of joy that she would be deligent to follow God’s ways and commandment and do her best to be truthful in serving God and men to fulfill all righteousness. She thanked the Lord in her speech for the grace of dedication and commitment He endowed on her to succeed out of the 6 people since the month of September 2019 till March 2020.
