IKEJA APC ENDORSES HON. KASUNMU ARK AS CONSENSUS CANDIDATE FOR IKEJA CONSTITUENCY II

Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikeja Constituency II have unanimously endorsed Hon. (Prince) Adedamola Richard Kasunmu (ARK) as the consensus candidate for Ikeja Constituency II ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
The General Assembly of the party was convened by the distinguished GAC Member and federal lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, and had in attendance party leaders, executives, stakeholders and members from Ikeja Constituencies I and II.
Also present at the strategic gathering were other aspirants for the Lagos State House of Assembly seat, including Barr. Wale Ajala, Princess Bimbo Oshikoya and Mr. Oladipo, alongside prominent party faithful.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Faleke commended party members and leaders for their steadfast commitment to the growth, unity and continued electoral success of the APC in Ikeja. He particularly applauded the peaceful conduct and success of the party primaries held so far, while reiterating the need for total loyalty to the party and alignment with the collective decisions of the leadership.
Following consultations and the agreement of other aspirants contesting for the Ikeja Constituency II seat, Hon. Kasunmu was unanimously adopted and endorsed as the APC consensus candidate for the 2027 General Elections.
Speaking further, Hon. Faleke advised the ranking lawmaker on the need to keep improving on his representation for the benefits of party members and the constituents.
Responding shortly after the endorsement, Hon. Kasunmu expressed deep appreciation to the leadership and members of the APC for the confidence reposed in him and for granting him another opportunity to serve the people of Ikeja Constituency II.
The Deputy Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly assured party leaders that he would continue to improve on his service delivery and remain committed to offering quality and inclusive representation to all constituents.
He also appreciated fellow aspirants for their maturity, sacrifice and commitment to democratic principles, describing their support and cooperation as a strong indication of party unity and shared progress.
Hon. Kasunmu’s over a decade of legislative representation has continued to attract commendation from constituents and political stakeholders, with many describing his performance at both the legislative and constituency levels as impactful and people-centered.
With the endorsement now secured, the APC primaries scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2026, are widely expected to serve as a formal ratification of the consensus decision reached by party leaders and stakeholders.
