Music, Magic, and Moments: Inside the Y’elloTide Christmas Celebration
CULTURE, MUSIC & FESTIVE CELEBRATION
It’s Christmas in the Y’elloverse, and the Y’elloTide is alive with colour, sound, and celebration. From unforgettable nights of elegance to breakthrough musical moments, this season is all about connection, creativity, and community.
Here’s how the festivities unfolded.
A Night of Elegance at The Prestige Experience
Victoria Island came alive last weekend as The Prestige Experience unfolded at The Royal Box, Lagos—an exclusive celebration designed to honour our customers and key partners.
The evening delivered a rich cultural experience, blending Michelin-inspired cuisine by Chef Stone, stunning fashion moments, and a soulful live performance by Asa that left guests spellbound.
With Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Michelle Dede setting the tone and Alibaba bringing humour to the mix, the night captured the heart of Y’elloTide—joyful celebration, surprise, and meaningful human connection.
The Prestige Experience stands as one of many Y’elloTide initiatives created to ensure every customer interaction—no matter the segment—feels thoughtful, warm, and memorable.
A Moment of Pride: CEO of the Year
Adding to the celebration, our CEO, Dr. Karl Toriola, was named CEO of the Year by the Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD).
His recognition highlights years of transformative leadership, bold innovation, and a relentless drive to improve customer experience while positioning Nigeria at the forefront of Africa’s digital evolution.
More than an individual honour, the award reflects the passion and commitment of the entire team working toward a connected future.
Ayo Benzi Takes the Afrobeats Crown
The spotlight shone brightest on music as Ayo Benzi emerged winner of MTN Next Afrobeats Star, walking away with a ₦150 million music deal.
After weeks of intense auditions and performances, five finalists—Ayo Benzi, Dave Cash, Kaeko, Somto O’Laker, and Lucky Yay—stood out among over 15,000 entries.
With mentorship from music powerhouses like Sarz, Puffy Tee, P Prime, and Andre Vibez, the finalists shared a ₦400 million prize pool, marking a bold investment in the future of Afrobeats.
The Season of Giving Continues
The Y’ello season isn’t complete without giving back. From festive gifts and data rewards to free interstate rides and special offers via MoMo PSB, there’s something for everyone.
And to top it off, the first five people to reply to this email will win free tickets to Kizz Daniel’s Lagos concert on December 27, 2025.
This is what Y’elloTide looks like—music, magic, and moments that matter.
