Property Brokers International Magazine was officially launched in Lagos on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, under the theme “Real Estate Tokenization and Financing: The Future of Property Investment in Africa.” The Lagos edition follows a widely acclaimed Abuja launch that stirred national industry interest.

Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Matthew Ibadin, described Lagos as the heartbeat of Africa’s real estate innovation and the epicentre of major property transactions across the continent. He said the launch represented more than the unveiling of a publication — it marked the birth of a vision to redefine how Africans invest in and understand real estate.
Dr. Ibadin emphasised that tokenization, the digital representation of real-world property assets, is democratizing ownership and opening investment opportunities once accessible only to a privileged few. He noted that technology and modern financing models are reshaping the industry, enabling young professionals and everyday Africans to invest in property portfolios previously out of reach.
He explained that Property Brokers International Magazine is positioned not only as a media platform but also as a property investigator and broker, ensuring transparent, traceable and secure transactions — especially for diaspora investors often targeted by fraud. The organisation works closely with security agencies to verify property status, curb fraud and promote ethical real estate practices.

Drawing from his experience as a security expert and CEO of Badison Security Services, Dr. Ibadin highlighted the strong link between a stable real estate market and national security. He said responsible investment and transparency are essential to community development, economic growth and long-term stability.

The magazine, he added, will document emerging trends, spotlight industry leaders and provide insights that strengthen investor confidence across Africa’s evolving property sector.
The Lagos launch drew top stakeholders from the real estate, financial, security and public–private sectors. Dignitaries included AIG Zone 2 Adegoke Fayoade, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh (represented by DCP Khan Salihu), Mr. Mike Usime (Chief Launcher), Chief Charles Odunukwe (Chairman of the Occasion), and several investors, analysts and security service chiefs.

Organisers noted that the strong attendance reflects growing recognition of the need for innovation, transparency and cross-sector collaboration in building a secure and sustainable property market in Africa.
