Students React As Popular Nigerian Philanthropist Gives Scholarship To 50 OAU Students

Popular Nigerian Philanthropist, Ladi Adebutu, has paid the school fees of over 50 Ogun State Students in Obafemi Awolowo University. NEWS4NAIJA gathered that the students, who have always expressed dissatisfaction in the prolong neglection by the state government, were seen happy as they received their school fees. According to the President of the National Association of Ogun State Students, Ajayi Oluwafemi, “Ogun State Students have always been neglected by the State Government, it’s unfortunate that when they’re contesting, they are all over Students promising them to improve their welfare, only to get there and do nothing. It’s of utmost happiness for me to see Hon. Ladi Adebutu do this great scheme for Ogun Students despite not being in power. It’s safe to say that Hon. Ladi Adebutu knows the value of education in nation building.” Also Adebayo Adenife, A 300level law student who’s also a beneficiary of the scholarship, while expressing his delight at the scheme said – the philanthropist has “lifted a huge burden off Ogun State students and it calls for commendation amongst all in Ogun State.”
