In a significant step toward improving humanitarian intervention and child welfare services in Kano State, the Founder of the Better Life for Children and Women Future Foundation (BLWCFF), Amb. Dr. Sameera Abubakar Abdullahi, has formally handed over a coaster bus to the Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for operational use in supporting vulnerable and out-of-school children across the state.

The Governor subsequently presented the vehicle to the Kano State Commissioner for Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation to facilitate rescue missions, rehabilitation programs, counseling services, and educational support initiatives targeted at disadvantaged children and vulnerable members of society.

The intervention was made possible through a strategic collaboration involving Muslim Charity, the Better Life for Children and Women Future Foundation (BLWCFF), and the Kano State Ministry of Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation. While Muslim Charity provided funding support for the procurement of the coaster bus, the BLWCFF coordinated the implementation and successful delivery of the project to strengthen humanitarian operations within Kano State.

Speaking during the handover, Amb. Dr. Sameera Abubakar Abdullahi emphasized the urgent need to protect and empower vulnerable children, noting that every child deserves access to care, guidance, education, and hope for a brighter future.

According to her, the initiative represents more than the donation of a vehicle, describing it as a symbol of hope and a renewed commitment to child welfare and social development across the state.

“This intervention goes beyond transportation. It represents hope, rehabilitation, counseling, education, and a second chance for many vulnerable and out-of-school children,” she stated.

She further called on stakeholders, humanitarian organizations, and well-meaning individuals to continue supporting efforts aimed at building a more inclusive society where every child is given the opportunity to grow, learn, and succeed regardless of their background or circumstances.

The project has been widely commended as a timely intervention that will enhance the mobility and operational capacity of humanitarian agencies working to address the growing challenges of child vulnerability, poverty, and access to education in Kano State.
