APC National Campaign Council Convenes Strategic Meeting Ahead of 2026 Osun Governorship Election

As preparations intensify for the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken another strategic step towards strengthening its campaign structure with the convening of a meeting of members of its National Campaign Council (NCC).
The meeting, held on Monday, August 3, 2026, at the Kano State Governor’s Lodge, 30 Jose Marti Street, Asokoro, Abuja, brought together members of the National Campaign Council to deliberate on the party’s campaign framework and preparations ahead of the forthcoming governorship poll in Osun State.
According to the meeting agenda, proceedings commenced at 3:00 p.m. with the rendition of the National Anthem, followed by an opening prayer and the introduction of members of the committee.
The Chairman of the National Campaign Council delivered the opening remarks, outlining the objectives of the meeting and emphasizing the need for unity, commitment, and coordinated efforts among members as the party prepares for the crucial election.
Members were subsequently invited to make observations, ask questions, and contribute ideas on the party’s campaign strategy and operational plans. The interactive session provided an opportunity for stakeholders to exchange views and align on key priorities aimed at ensuring a successful campaign.
The meeting also featured an “Any Other Business” session, allowing members to raise additional matters considered important to the effective functioning of the Campaign Council. This was followed by the presentation and adoption of the meeting’s resolutions by the Secretary before the gathering concluded with a closing prayer.
The National Campaign Council is expected to play a pivotal role in coordinating the APC’s campaign activities, mobilizing stakeholders, and driving voter engagement ahead of the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election.
Political observers view the early activation of the council as a demonstration of the party’s resolve to build a well-coordinated and issue-driven campaign capable of consolidating support across Osun State.
With the governorship election drawing closer, the APC’s strategic consultations and organizational efforts are expected to intensify as the party seeks to position itself strongly for the electoral contest.
