BLACK SUNDAY IN AMUWO ODOFIN LGA…….

……. COMRADE AYODELE ADEWALE LENDS SUPPORT TO RELEVANT AGENCIES OF FEDERAL AND LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT TO QUELL THE PIPELINE INFERNO AND PUT THE SITUATION UNDER CONTROL

Sunday 15th March 2020 would definitely be a sad day to remember for residents of Abule Ado in Amuwo Odofin LGA as a pipeline explosion rocked the axis in the early hours of Sunday around 9:02am.

The genesis of the wild fire which happened at Ado Soba in Abule Ado is yet to be ascertained as firefighters, various safety agencies from Lagos State, the gallant men from the Nigerian military, the Nigerian Police, DSS, NSCDC and other paramilitary agencies were battling to contain its spread and rescue more lives.

Upon hearing about the fire disaster through his personal assistant Mr. Ibrahim Balogun the immediate past Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin LGA Comrade Ayodele Adewale immediately reached out to Governor, Deputy Governor, fire service, Lagos State commissioner of police, commander RRS Lagos State, DSS, the press and safety agencies to inform them about the situation.

The impact of the explosion resonated as far as Festac Town, Ago place, Surulere, Ikeja, Badagry and it’s environs.

The foundation of housing structures were observed to have vibrated and caused damage to windows, ceilings and roofs. Properties within the region of the explosion were seen shattering and bursting into flames while people scrambled for their lives with cars burning and the houses going up in flames.

Comrade Ayodele Adewale was at the scene of the disaster lending his support to alleviate the impact of the fire outbreak through the evacuation of people from building and students from the boarding school cited in the area of the incidence.

He later paid a visit to the Alado of Ado kingdom in Amuwo Odofin LGA His Royal Majesty Oba Latif Alado, Fabuwa 1 to give a situation report on the impact of the pipeline explosion. He ensued for calm and admonished residents that normalcy would soon be restored as all hands are on deck to arrest the situation.

He stated that the real cause of the pipeline explosion and the level of casualty cannot be ascertained as the relevant agencies are still battling to quell the inferno while investigating the matter.

​Chief Operating Officer,​Ventures arrived at location at 7:20pm from Abuja. They inspected the incident and thank comrade Adewale for taking charge of the situation and helping to maintain law and order.
