It is no doubt that the Nigerian health industry has received a boost following the commissioning of a new state- of- the-art multi-specialty hospital in Lagos.

 

Starcare International Hospital at Maryland-GRA, Lagos was inaugurated on Saturday, by His Royal Majesty, Oba Lateef Adams of Ikate Kingdom, Surulere,

 

Lagos, also commissioning was Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Fayoade Adegoke.mni
Assuring the guests of the preparedness of the hospitals management to provide world-class healthcare services,

Dr.Ashraff Mohammad, chairman and managing director of the health institution, said Starcare is committed to revolutionizing the healthcare system “of Nigeria by introducing the most advanced health facilities and world class technology, along with a rich blend of internationally trained and experienced doctors from Indian and Nigeria.

“We’re introducing most advanced surgical procedures like minimally invasive surgeries, laparoscopic surgeries, laser proctology surgeries, laser spine surgeries, endoscopic spine surgeries, cosmetic gynecology surgeries, bariatric (weight loss) surgeries, arthroscopy (sports medicine) procedures, which are rarely done in the country.”

Mohammad further noted that “the hospital aims to reverse the exodus of medical tourism in Nigeria by providing world-class health care at Starcare International Hospital at par with developed countries like the USA, UK, Dubai and India which are the favourite medical tourism destinations for Nigerian patients.”adding that, “all the senior consultants will be available around the clock in the facility.”

Congratulating the management of the health facility for establishing such a giant stride in Africa, he however, promised to support the hospital security wise, even by impanelling the police force to the hospital.


The event drew other high-profile personalities like Shri Chandramouli Kumar Kern, Hon Consul-Gen of India, Consulate General India, Lagos, Hassan Danladi, deputy comptroller of immigration,Nigeri8 Immigration Service, Lagos Command, and some other medical personnel across the country.

Shri Chandramouli Kern expressed his wishes and wished that more Indian goverment is committed to improving the bilateral ties between India and Nigeria and support Nigeria in every possible way.

 

As part of activities to wrap up the occasion ,Mohammad conducted a tour of the facility for all the guests and showcased the latest and most advanced infrastructure, including the OPD complex, inpatient wards, private rooms, ICU-NICU complex, OT complex, and labour rooms.
Beeming with aura of satisfaction mixed with happiness,HRM Oba Lateef Adams gave his best wishes to the hospital and urged Nigerians to make use of the facility to avail of the best medical services.
