PAYING TRIBUTE TO THE DEAD IS AN INHERITED CULT OF AFRICA ACCORDING TO THE BOGOTA CITY COUNCILOR.

The Colombia Negra Foundation proceeded this Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 4 p.m. to the ceremony of tribute to the Colombian victims of slavery. This ceremony took place at the land transport station at the LUMBALU monument. It was under a fine rain, a celestial blessing that this tribute to the victims of slavery was held. A cult that extended to victims of racism and Covid 19. Wreaths of flowers were laid at the foot of the monument. For Esperanza Biohio PEREA, Director of the Colombia Negra Foundation: “the Negros participated in the construction of the Colombian nation and at the cost of their blood. 13 million were savagely murdered” We must therefore pay tribute to them but also to all the victims of racism and Covid 2019″. For the councilor of the town hall of Bogota, Mr Libardo Asprilla (popular elected official): “Paying homage to the dead is a cult inherited from Africa”. He also insisted on the fact that “Colombia’s wealth lies in its identity and cultural diversity. Ms. Ana Maria Sambrano, manager of the Bogota land transport station, indicated that the LUMBALU monument is “a source of pride for the station”.
