Togo Confirmed Its First Coronavirus Case
Togo on Friday confirmed its first coronavirus case. The patient, a 42-year-old woman, reportedly tested positive following her return from a trip to Benin, Germany, France and Turkey. Togo’s presidency said the patient, who lives in the capital Lome with her family, was “currently isolated in a treatment center for infectious diseases.” Other countries that have registered coronavirus cases in Africa are Senegal with four patients, all foreign nationals, Nigeria, Cameroon and South Africa.
